For the ‘Knikkerkapitalen’ typeface I was inspired by glass marbles. Specifically the coloured swirl that’s inside transparent cat-eye ones. Knikkerkapitalen (what’s in a name) only consists of capitals, and is originally designed to be used as start-capitals. But if you really want to shout something to someone in a nice, still slightly subtle, not so harsh way, you can also just go ahead and use these!
‘Knikkerkapitalen’ isn’t actually a typeface yet though, I tried dragging the shapes into FontForge once but gave up when I got to the kerning part. I’ve been hearing good things about Fontself though so I might give that a go sometime soon.
